Carl prepares for Lakeland Trail 55km Ultra Marathon

 

Over the past few months, Carl has stepped up training for the Lakelands Trail 55km Ultra Marathon which takes place on 13th July. 

 

Due to an ongoing injury over the past few years a tarsal tunnel operation last year, Carl has not done any event above half marathon level since 2019 so this is a particularly tough challenge. 

 

The 55k Ultra is a testing ultra marathon course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. The tough, challenging course will certainly live up to its billing as the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK. 

 

The 55k route includes 3 mountain passes, with 7,000 ft ascent. 

 

Carl will be raising money for our charities.
