Octave Business update. Quarter 4

Working on the Client side, We have completed the detailed M&E design for car showroom in Chiswick, London (we'll give you a clue, its not Audi, its the other one!). The project involved submission at stage 2 and stages 3-4. Some interesting features were as follows: 

 

PV installation 

Feature Lighting 

Specific HVAC requirements including black units, tray and ductwork, exposed in the showroom 

CAT 5 boosted water supplies in the workshop 

Leak detection systems and water control / shut off devices 

Heat recovery ventilation and VRF air conditioning / fan coils 

 

The project is due to be awarded to the M&E contractor very soon. we look forward to seeing this one develop on site. We love a bit of exposed ductwork and services as engineers! 

 

 

Working on the Client side, We have completed the detailed M&E design for car Showroom in Oldham. The project involved submission at stage 2 and stages 3-4. We are now assisting with the M&E contractors design and coordination on site. Some interesting features were as follows: 

 

Concealed ventilation and air conditioning systems with only grilles showing. 

Destrat fans to the atrium area 

Value engineering to bring the project within budget 

Working with energy assessors to ensure compliance with Part L2A 

Feature Lighting 

 

The project is on site and we are looking forward to seeing progress. 

 

 

Working on the Mechanical Contractor side, We have completed the detailed HVAC design for a small data centre. The design included: 

 

Submission of HVAC calculations using H2X software 

VRF Air Conditioning 

Heat Recovery Ventilation 

 

Leisure Centre Upgrade (Northern Region) 

 

Working on the Client side, We have completed the detailed HVAC design for an upgrade of a council leisure centre changing room. The upgraded changing rooms will swap out noisy, dirty fan convector units, and using the existing constant temperature heating pipe circuits, new LPHW ceiling radiant heaters will be installed, with tamperproof thermostats in each zone. The new changing rooms will be much brighter, cleaner and more accessible with more private changing cubicles. 

 

 

Working on the Client side, We have completed a survey and written an M&E condition report for a large office and warehouse building in Manchester. The report will assist the buyer in budgeting and making decisions on keeping, replacing or upgrading existing systems. 

 

 

Working on the Contractor side, We have completed the stage 4-5 HVAC and Plumbing design on a 60 bedroom apartment block in Manchester on behalf of the mechanical contractor. This design included: 

 

Submission of HVAC calculations using H2X software 

Heat Pump hot water systems 

Sprinkler Installation 

Above Ground Drainage Design 

Heat recovery Ventilation design.
