Carl completes day 2 of the "TOM" - Thurstaston Multi Terrain - 5.9 Miles
Our charity in the spotlight today is Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

Not only have they provided care to Charlie, Lizzy and Rosie but prior to that their older cousins have been and continue to be treated there also.

When Charlie was first taken ill in 2017 he was blue lighted by ambulance from Warrington Hospital to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. Alder Hey's Heart Centre is the regional referral centre for the North West of England. From the moment we arrived there we knew Charlie would be in good hands. For what was a terrifying time for us, all of the medical and support staff were amazing and continue to be to this day. We are so grateful and lucky to have them. Charlie and his sisters attend regular check up appointments there, and it has a really lovely calming atmosphere. Believe it or not Charlie looks forward to his visits !

Carls run today involved trail running across uneven ground, along Thurstaston Beach and up a massive hill. Made a little bit tougher by all of the midges flying around and the blister on his toe! He completed it in 00:54:17. The kids enjoyed cheering Daddy on and tucking into yummy ice cream from "Hyacinth".

Don't forget we are trying to raise money for all of our amazing charities and If you can, please donate here

Thank You!
obvisouly we didn't discuss which running vest Carl should wear today!
