Carl completes Day 5 of the "TOM" - Stadt Moer Park Cross Country - 6 Miles
Child Bereavement UK helps children, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We support children and young people up to the age of 25 who are facing bereavement, and anyone impacted by the death of a child of any age.
Child Bereavement UK provides training to professionals in health and social care, education, the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
Words will never be able to express the immense gratitude we have for Charlie's donor family. As we watch Charlie grow and reach milestones our thoughts always return to them. I really hope they can take comfort knowing how special their little girl is, and when the time is right and Carlie is old enough to understand we will tell him about the beautiful angel who saved his life.
We have not had contact with Child Bereavenent UK other than to support their charity, but we hope that Charlie's donor family are able to access support and have the love and support of their family and friends like we do.
Carl enjoyed tonights 6 mile run at Stadt Moor Park and luckily missed most of the rain. I've given up on trying to get him to do the matching vest to charity thing. He completed this run in 00:49.04.
Tomorrow is the final race day which is a 12 mile coastal run starting and ending in New Brighton. Carl is hoping for a dry calm day and a nice cold beer at the finish line.
