I'm a 16 year old student, studying 'digital built environment' at college. I have always enjoyed designing and achieved well in design technology in high school which encouraged me to choose a course in college that will lead me in that direction. I began the course in |September 2023 with the intentions of becoming an architect. However, it has been a big eye opener as it shown me how many career opportunities are available in the industry. I joined Octave Design in order to gain work experience and familiarise myself with the environment. Whilst being at Octave, Carl and Ali have helped me to understand the work that they do and what it means to them and the construction industry which really interests me and encourages me to learn more. I have also completed my training for the new pipe sizing software 'H2X' which I will be using when working on projects.It has been a pleasure so far to complete my work experience at Octave Design with people who put their efforts in to help me learn essential skills within the industry.
